Biografy
Michele Nave, born in Rivoli (TO) in 1975, traced his artistic path through the canvas, a journey that led him to become a recognized surrealist painter. His artistic story began at an early age, when, at only 9 years old, he ventured into the fascinating world of oil painting on canvasboard, a self-taught artist who brought his first paintings to life. His passion for drawing and painting accompanied him from a young age, solidifying in him as an invaluable source of inspiration.
He moves with his family to the picturesque Veneto region, a new phase in his life that will profoundly influence his artistic expression. The Surrealist painter finds himself navigating the spaces and landscapes of this region, capturing in his works the magic of dreams, the essence of concepts, unique visions, decisions imbued with meaning, the deepest thoughts, intricate reflections, vivid memories and moments of silence imbued with meaning. His art becomes a metaphysical journey through other realities, a witness to inner worlds that defy logic and embrace the irrational.
The influence of masters of surrealism such as Salvador Dali and Giorgio De Chirico is evident in Michele Nave's works, but with a distinct personal interpretation. The painter retains his own artistic identity, distinguished by a symbolism rich in meaning. Every brushstroke, every detail, reflects his critical predisposition and his ability to go beyond mere anecdote to immerse himself in a social discourse. His works reveal themselves not only as visual representations, but as bold commentaries on the reality that surrounds us.
Michele Nave emerges as a creator who seeks the symbol as the key to interpreting his works, using characters who become the repositories of profound meanings. These characters, at the same time, embody the elaborate and equanimous expression of a unique pictorial philosophy, underscoring his distinctive way of understanding art. In each creation, Michele Nave immerses himself in his symbolic universe, interwoven with Dalinian suggestions, creating works that transport the viewer on an extraordinary journey through his surreal and critical vision of the world.
Among the various art critiques, we can find those of well-known international art critics such as Joan Lluís Montanè.

Michele Nave's painting is proposed as a very useful example of that hyperfigurative practice that constitutes the most convincing and mature response that Europe has been able to offer to the American hyperrealist surge that established itself in the Sixties.
